Why libero is an underrated player?
When people think about the volleyball game they must think about the strongest player in a volleyball game. This is true that these are the most strong and experienced players in the volleyball club. However, the libero is one of the most underrated players on the volleyball team. Liberos are acted as a defender in all teams but their role is not exciting much but it is key to success in volleyball games. Today, we discuss that why the libero is the most underrated athlete on a volleyball court.
WHAT IS THE LIBERO?
If you a volleyball game fan you have noticed that every player of the team wear different jerseys. This person is planned to libero of each team. They act as a defenders and they have to follow the instructions and rules that other players does not. For instance, there is a restriction for libero that they cannot pass the line of 10-foot. They are also restricted that they cannot pass the ball if the ball is present above the net 10-foot. Libero have to follow different rules to other players. Many coaches designed the liberos as a defender captain of the team. Liberos are charge as a back row and defend the first attack. Other players can not start the game without libero.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A QUALITY LIBERO PLAYER?
The libero’s job is not much physical tough during the game. However, they have to control the back row and defend from back attack, they also have to positioned the players in their respective positions. Experienced liberos must have a good communication skills, corporative behavior, and a great manager. Since, there is no attacking responsibility on liberos, they just control the ball which they can. The most best quality in libero that they are not selfish. Their role in the game is unappreciated and unnoticed.
